You can resize and shift the map to how you want it. You can find them in the EXTENT menu.

When shifting the map to the left, use negative values.

X = -10 and Y =-10 will shift the map up and left by 10 hexes.

Shift the map BEFORE you resize it.

For what I know in years of WF mapping it is no possible to copy and paste (or 'append') a map into another, while it is possible to use such a shortcut into the OOB editor.
As for the resize, Jason, I am quite sure that there some kind of limitation in the size since I was never able to create a map larger than 510*600 hexes. If I try to go over this size, the program crash. I am not sure 100%if it is an hardware (resources) or a software (program) problem, but I think the second is much more probable.
And anyway to fill a 510*600=306.000 hexes map you need quite a lot of work...I know it for sure...:-)

I have noticed a limit in the x value of 500 hexes, but the y value seems to have a higher value.

I created a couple base maps of the Suez Canal area that is 500 hexes wide but is 700 hexes high.

Mine was 500X500 but I got sick of making the map and just wanted to play the game, so it is 420X189.
For sure I could reach a least 510 for the x. and 600 for the y. At this very moment the program in my PC seems does not like more than this but eventually I will try to get to 700, since you could do so. Perhaps the limit has to do with the ratio x:y. Anyway to reach such size I had to make little steps in increasing...say ten after ten hexes enlargement per side.
Going to try now to go higher....

Is it an Historical map or just a random one? Cause I can send you mine if you are interested.

it is an imaginary world map, I wouldn't mind seeing your map, but I am on the talonsoft version not the Matrix version.
If I am not wrong you are trying to create a kind of 'Risiko'. With an 'Entire World Map'..continents, oceans and so on. In this case my map wont be useful cause it is just an imaginary tactical map...There are lots of tactical spots and many 'terrain situations', mountains hills, towns, rivers and so on. But It does not represent the geosphere but only a portion of an imaginary european country about 125*150 km, given the Talonsoft 0.250 Km per hex scale. Anyway I think that the maps have no limitations with the game version. You can use the WF maps into the Matrix and vice versa.

No you cant, I downlaoded someone elses map who said he was on matrix version, there was an error message "Failed to load file" or somthing like that.

One problem I see is that there are no means of mass transport across the sea, sure there is a boat but how many units can that carry? can it carry tanks?
