I notice that many members still don't have an Avatar showing on their posts, if you would like to have an Avatar here is how to do it!
First click on
Control Panel....
Then on
My Options -> Change Avatar....
Then click on
Avatars Gallery....
This opens the range of Gallery's in the top section of the box, if you click on a gallery the Avatars inside will be shown in the bottom half.
Select an Avatar and the code will be automatically entered and you just then need to click
Update Avatar....
If you then go to view a post your Avatar should be visible!

Browse select the file you wish to use and then click
Update Avatar the maximum dimensions is 80x80 pixels and the max file size is 40kb.
Where is your avatar Darran?
Hmm, where is my avatar? Is there a switch that needs to be on to be able to view peoples avatars?
Yes there is one in the Control Panel to make your avatar visible. It should be on by default.

Nope, I can't see anyones avatar, even my own. The forum has also stopped indicating which posts are new. It's nice having all this new stuff but the basics dont't seem to work for me.
I wonder if I have managed to turn on a theme which is hiding stuff?
Well i can see both my Avatar and yours so i assume the issue is with a setting at your end, if you go to Control Panel-> My Options-> Change Options-> and scroll down that page to see if the "Show Avatar" box is checked?
If it is then i can only suggest you post this issue in the "Bug" forum at the top of the page and see if Raz knows what to do.
If it is not then click that box and hit "Update Options" at the bottom.
One more thing maybe you need to refresh the page to see the new settings take effect?
As for the New Posts issue, what i do is click "mark forums as read" at the foot of the main forums page when i leave the forums, in this way only new posts show when i return.

Avatar is on so I will post a bug in the Tech forum.
Marc,
I made a change I think solves your problem. It should only affect you.
Post here when you return and let me know.

That looks fine now, thanks Brian
My avatar does not appear on posts, but I can see others.
I have "Show Avatar" box checked.
Any ideas???
Odd occurence.
I can see my and all other avatars only when I', logged off the message boards.
Once I log-on they dissappear.
