Do we have any players of COG:EE? It's not a game supported by the Ladder, but if we have any members who own the game and would be interested in playing a multi-player PBEM I could probably use my influence with Thunder to work out an arrangement where participants in the game received some flat amount of ladder points for folks who completed the game, higher points for best finishes obviously.

What I am most interested in is dedicated players committed to rapid turn around of files (no more than 48 hours) so that the game does not languish (which is what kills most multi-player PBEM games). Player experience and skill is much less of a consideration. Hell, I'm a newbie to the game myself.

Anyway, if I can get enough interest in the game from committed players I'll work out the details of point awards.

What say you Nappy fans? Any players of COG:EE out there?

HiHi

Count me in, Paul I don't know if this would work, but Scott the CinC over at INWC has a basic scoring system for the original CoG that may help Thunder (scroll down the link to CoG)

http://battleground-club.de/evaluation.html#English

I'll be emailing Scott in a bit in response to a query from him about scoring the CoG EE games at INWC (Not my area of expertise but ...), and I'll suggest that maybe a reciprocal agreement for scoring in both Clubs be set up between ‘the Blitz’ & INWC i.e. registered members of both Clubs can use their games at both Clubs for Scoring purposes etc; as I have already introduced a fair few folk from the Matrix site to the CoG EE games at INWC as a knock on we may get a few extra recruits here as well Big Grin will see how it goes and notify you here.

All the Best

It's not a finalized system....we need to factor in nation ranks in the game, as Peter has suggested to me. But we are going to make a good portion of points be picked up in the game length modifier. Trying to keep it balanced with the othe scoring systems....

As I told Peter, we have had from our inception a policy that allows you to register games for full credit with non-Club members....so it'd be up to the folks here at the Blitz on whether they want to do it or not.

I look forward to continuing our relationship with you all.... Big Grin

HiHi

That sound good, if Blitz OK's it then presumably it would cover for all Napoleonic games shared by both Clubs (JT Battlegraound, HPS etc, not just for CoG EE) so more players/recruits, new oponants and extra points alround, sounds a Win-Win situation to me Big Grin
