Russian arty that can see its target-does it still suffer the indirect penatly (50%) that most parameters have it set at? Or since it sees the rounds leave the tube and go to target, its full effect...
There is really no difference when firing offensively. In your example this is in the Russian turn. If the artillery is designated as indirect fire capable, and is set up, then firing the unit indirectly or directly at targets in LOS of the artillery unit will yield the same fire value results.
The indirect fire modifier from the pdtonly applies to defensive fire. In this case during the Axis turn.
Another significant difference is when the artillery unit has moved recently and is not set up. It can not fire at all indirectly, but can still fire at direct targets in LOS. The fire value is then the same for offensive fire above.

Try this by setting up a test using one of the started scenarios. I used the one in K43, since it is easy to conduct an indirect and direct fire attack on the same German unit in just a few turns due to the open and long (4km) LOS. Be sure to turn off the on map results so you can see the fire value of the guns in the fire dialog box.

I have come across this by accident , I thought it was just a bug in the game!!Big Grin.
This unit should never have a LOS problem, you can copy it to your Bulge'44/German/Unit folder.

Great art! Have you done more german artillery art like this?

That was two files cobbled together, the US heavy gun and the wheels from a 88 then some shading, not really 100% accurate but close enough.
I've done most of the German artillery art but as I'm learning on the job so to speak I have discovered something which changes everything !!!.

So I'm turning out a lotta new files, infantry, support weapons, artillery, AFV's, transport and more.
Once I have a grasp of the production technique l'll post packs if they meet with approval, remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
