My wife and I just returned from seeing Avatar in 3D. It wasn't the intended movie, but the one we were going to see didn't start until an hour and a half later so we went with Avatar.

I'm just blown away by the special effects. They are in a word, spectacular. It also had an entertaining story-line something like Dances with Wolves & Captain Planet & Aliens in a galaxy far, far away. It was a quality production and IMHO was a well polished movie.

I can't say that I'm much of a fan of 3D movies until this one came along.

Went to see it with my kids, liked it a lot !!!

Hopefully boys got something out of it as well than just the very impressive battle scenes...

A nice tree-hugging philosophy in the story line. Yes, a lot like Dances with Wolves now that you mention it... In a good way...

Have been trying to convince the missus to come and see it as well. Wouldn't mind watching it a second time at all :smoke:

Read from somewhere that many Hollywood big names have kept a close watch on Avatar, and now once the 3D made it big time will start using the technology as well.

Also, at least the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars franchises are being considered to be transferred to 3D. Either one director (Jackson or Lucas) reported the test scenes they've tried have proved to been nothing but mind boggling...

Damn :mad: Only have bought the Star Wars, what, two or three times so far :)
