Does anyone know if it is possible to change the Unit ID designations during setup in SPWW2 or SPMBT?
For example - can I make a "B1" into "C3"?
Or, is it possible to add digits to the Unit ID ?
For example - can I make "B1" into "BB1"?
I think I know the answer, but I'll throw it out there anyway...

As far as I know...No.
The unit designation (A0, B0, B1, B2) etc are handed out by the code as you buy your OOB.
Trying to change them during a game would screw the code up as I know for sure that it will use the list to go through it's routines for Op-fire etc.
The only things you can change after the game has started are the actual name of the unit (in green in the info sheet) and also the name of the commander.

Partially true Walrus. You can't type the digits or add to it, the only way to change them is to attach a unit during deployment to another formation when it takes the letter from that one and usually ends up with a number equal to the number of the new platoon, sometimes they end up as 0 units even though there is an officer in the original and the new one doesn't.
Right complicated Vesku is correct you need to buy in order you want & remember cant reassign the current leader.
Easy way to explain
units keep there buying order so.
Any units added after will go on the end.
Any units bought before will go on the front taking over the 0 slot & shuffling all others back one.
I dont think this however changes the leader so not advised.
In summary buy the formation you want
Buy the units you want to add in the order you want them added
Add them & delete any unwanted units.
I do it on occasion for campaigns.
