A wonderful place to meet new gamers and get tips on playing my favorite wargame system Campaign Series. Also it is a place to get good info for game support and historical data, not to mention excellent scenarios! The forum offers and excellent place to exchange ideas and meet new opponents. With the JTCS system ready to move into another phase with the coming of "Modern Wars" (thanks Jason for all you do here!) the months that follow are sure to be exciting.
As of late when I turn on my computer and go to the net, the first site I check is "The Blitz"! I'm never disappointed as something new is always brewing!
I love what "The Blitz" does for me by keeping me connected with CS, keep up the excellent work and god's speed Jim!

So much fun. So much information. So many kind, generous and helpful individuals.
After three years of competition, I can't imagine opening my email and not finding a gaming move to consider.
Without you wonderful people, I would just be sitting here drinking my wine coolers and watching the history channel. With your support, I have the opportunity to change history in my gaming world.

Did not know all the ins and outs (hadn'tread the history section). Despite all the travails I am infitely grateful to those who kept, and keep, the Blitz afloat. From back in the Leadeaters days CS and the people I've meet through it have been a solid part of my life, though I have come and gone on the gaming scene based on what has been going on in real life. I don't really understand how a simple game can have the effect that it does, but it has, and is a great stress reliever.

A great wargaming resource, and awesome people to go along with it! Although I don't have time to do a lot of PBEM yet, I plan to do lots of it...I NEED the practice very badly!

It's my place to escape reality - from the everyday pressures that life brings in one's personal and work lives, and to knock heads with a whole bunch of good guys!
To me the Blitz is the place to come where people are of like minds, with shared passions, and sharing the history, related to our gaming.
This is also the place where you can get an opponent simply by posting or discuss changes/improvements to the games we love ... even with the game designer/developers? :smoke:
And, you find the best of the best, both people and gamers.
There is a collection of those who play for fun, play for the competition, and the simple joy of the game.
It's like coming to the Olympics at an institute of higher learning. :chin:

What does the Blitz mean/meant to me? - I agree with you ******, one gives up bothering anymore but, perhaps the way forward is to push and push again to get these idiots put into their' places. I noticed the new thread about what the Blitz means to them and I'm tempted to re-post. I remember the early days when I started, it was fun and informative and you could meet and create friendships like we have, shame it gets ruined by a couple of fools activities. - beware the helpers, if you upset them later, all your games will be deleted !
