the title says it. can it be done?

if so how do you do that? I cannot get it work. :(
For PBEM, each team has one player play his part, save it, and pass it to the next team mate, until every player on the team has finished. The final player on the team ends the turn and sends it on like a normal PBEM, the opposing team then plays out their part the same way. So it is just like a normal PBEM, but with the turn being saved and emailed to the team mates.

There are various ways of managing the turn that needs to be agreed upon to make sure players aren't playing at the same time, because then only one can be used and others will have to replay things.

I was hoping the whole force allocation thing can be done through the multiplayer dialog, but apperently this feature does not work in PBEM.

God knows why..

Thank you Rickie.
It is quite simple to organise, once a few turns have been played everyone knows the order to play in and as Rick says as long as only the final player on each side ends the turn (the others must just save it) then mistakes don't happen. ;)
...and it is very fun too! You run into all sorts of interesting things that you would not otherwise have to deal with, such as accidentally moving your teammate's units (simulated command and control confusion) and the need to plan and coordinate with others. I think it also helps build "team building" as we used to call it in the army, thus strengthening the community as a whole. The community gets much closer when you actually play WITH each other on occasion, and not AGAINST each other all the time. ;)

...now we just need some team based tourneys one day... :whis:
Yeah that is exactly why i have asked this.

I want to try something new. Must be a brand new experience when you actually cooperate with someone rather than just sit in your room and plot alone. :)

ah and not to forget, that with a teammate you have someone to put the blame on after a lost match. :p

On the other hand it cant be easy to find 2x2 players for a game.

Anyway i think I'll set up a thread and give it a try.

The Multi-player dialog feature is only available under network play. It is intended for a group playing in real time and not by PBEM which is the most common method.

This is only true if you are not registered on the ladder as Sch.

As long as you are registered on the ladder, then every player on each team received 1/2 the normal ladder points regardless of how many are on each team.

Panzerkrieg Tournament ( http://panzerkrieg.bravehost.com/Panzerkrieg.htm ) was a Team Game based Tourney... Last teams are playing now the final round.

There will be more team game tournaments soon, for sure... ;)

Ahh, I was not aware of that. Sadly, some projects and "life" has been interfering with my ability to participate in tourneys lately...
