Hello Folks,

Does anyone know what is going on with the Matrix Game Site?

I clicked in over there this morning to view the forum for CS and keep getting a page asking me about a new domain name??! The site page appears to be run by NS Network Solutions.

I don't know anything about a domain name and the site appears all different now.

AFAIK Domain renewal has not been activated in time. The domain seems to be free. Any hints that Matrix is going down?
Wow!

You can't even get into the store, nothing.

This can't be a good thing.

Maybe Jason could let us know.

Thanx!

Hawk
I seem to be able to visit the site itself, the forums, and the store at Digital River :chin:

Maybe it was down for maintenance?
From my place here from Europe (Austria) it still doesnt work. I am getting the same page as before (domain renewal).
Still nothing, I sent a email to David...

Works from here (Finland)? Or am I in a different Matrix? Ate a blue pill? Or was it red, can't remember
Hmmm, with the provided links I now am able to get to the site, very strange!!!?? Hijacked, I don't know... Re-bookmark, see if it works then.

Nope, I can get to it using his links, but even bookmarking from it doesn't let me get back. You are in a different time zone, maybe they reapplied for the site and in your zone is ok, or something, don't know.

Mike
Now even the provided link won't work, oh well....

When you buy a domain name it's for a specific length of time. Network Solutions sends out emails to warn the site owner the time limit is expiring, but a lot of time the contact's email address has changed. Nowadays, they'll try to call as well. Matrix really screwed up. In the old days they'd have a tough time getting their name back, but now the domain registrars build in a grace period.

There are a couple of reasons you might not be able to get to the site now, even though they're back up. The first is something you can do, the others not. So, try clearing your browser cache:

The other things have to do with DNS and that just takes time, at most a couple of days.
