I'm in if you want me to (as a player, not the team leader). I agree with Cross about most of the comments on your "rules document". I'd also like to see the time to complete a turn extended a bit - we're not in a hurry to finish anything. Everything from 4 days to a week would be ok in my eyes. Would take one half year to finish the game but would take the pressure off from guys who are very busy (and even allow Vesku to get in the game ;)).

I'd also like to see the players with one company each (perhaps limited to infantry) that they are free to command. These platoons should not be possible to detach to another player (if nothing else to keep the game interesting for all parts involved). However, the A0 can of course order the company commander to assist the neighbouring company with a platoon or something like that (still under the company commanders control. That would simulate C&C confusion pretty well.

All support units, tanks and so on, should be initially commanded by the A0, who could then detach the support units to the company commanders as wanted, or keep them under his own command. I'd like to have the same thing for on-board artillery (all on-board arty can be detached to companies).

To add another bit of realism - how about adding a rule where there is a delay of say two turns before the players can release support units to another player or to the HQ (A0 can release units without delay to others). Let's say HQ assigns a tank platoon to A coy in turn 2. Then he decides to give it to B coy commander in turn 3. A coy commander needs to move it in turn 4 and 5, and B coy commander gets the control in turn 6. Could be only one turn.. but would still require the A0 to think a little bit in advance and perhaps encourage him to keep a reserve.

Off-board arty should always be plotted and controlled by the A0.
Great! That'll make four of us so far (me, Cross, Seahawk and 2ndLt_Fjun).

I think optimally, we should have 4 per team - a TL and 3 coy commanders. If we go with 3 per team then the TL should probably also command a full company plus a support company/section.

If I can get someone to step up for the second TL - we'll take all suggestions in mind to develop a final set of rules - which can be adjusted, amended, or thrown out as we play. Time between turns/plays may not be as big a factor as we think - so, we probably will not have a time limit set for each team. If it does become a factor, the two TL's can discuss how to fix it.

So, if you've not committed because of the amount of commitment and time - please reconsider, there will be no pressure - at least not at this point. And, we've got numerous allowances for players that have to bug out mid-game.

I'm seeing this as more of an experiment than anything, so we can see what things will make it better as we go along.
Excellent! I'll take one company if you still need players.

Indeed we do Sir! Thanks. That makes five...
I wrote Ratel about the battle..hopefully he will get in on it!
Thanks guys. I believe we are up to seven potential players. I have:

GUNSLNGR
Cross
Seahawk
2ndLT_Fjun
Vesku
Ratel
Gibatar

If we get one more, we'll have the full complement of eight. We still need someone to step up as a second Team Leader...
I would be interested if your still looking for players. I'm kinda new at this so you will have to take it easy on me.

What fun would that be? You're in. Thanks.
OK, with the exception of Ratel - who was kindly offered up by Seahawk - we have a full complement of eight players confirmed:

GUNSLNGR
Cross
Seahawk
2ndLt_Fjun
Vesku
Gibatar
Jadpanther
Ratel (not officially confirmed)

Here's the bad news - nobody seems to want to be a Battalion Commander. Heavy is the crown of command, I suppose. Sgt

Would one of you guys be willing to do that? I give Cross a pass, as he led a team in the last OTB - unless you're willing, Sir.

If you'd like to be Team Leader, but have some reservations; please contact me at my email and we'll work out the details/reservations/rules. Once I get a second TL, we'll divide up the teams and each contact you with the info to begin.
Hrmm.. after some contemplation I could try the job as the team leader for the other side. There'll be some slow going over the holidays since I'll be traveling quite a few days, but I guess that things will be more silent here anyway.

But I do want an own company to command too.. ;)
