Silver Bullet is Sam Hung, according to his page. Is this the person you're playing, Nik? For some reason he's showing up as inactive despite having a game registered with Mad Dog earlier in the month. I need to look into this a bit more.

They could be different people. I was playing a Black Powder game against silver_bullet, and after no reply for 6 weeks, I claimed a victory. That is probably the game that you saw completed.
