Simple question: what's the best number of archers in a hex to maximize their fire? With javelin-throwing light infantry, it's 20 I believe. The rules however say that two ranks of archers are eligible to fire, so I suppose that means 40. Right?

Well, I'll answer my own post. (Talking to myself is a habit I've tried hard to break but I guess I need to up my meds.) :rolleyes: RTFM, Tim! It's 24, 2*12. Thanks to Barca for pointing me in the right direction here.
