Tournaments in general take too long to complete.

During the long drawn-out competition, competitors face personal situations and sometimes shear boredom and often withdraw from the tournament and/or "The Blitz".

I'm considering starting a rapid-fire tournament in the near future wherein all scenario's are balanced, but only 10 turns with a time limit of 30 days.

Perhaps call it the "Down and Dirty" tournament.

Perhaps 12 players, one scenario per round (blind draw for sides) and winners play winners and losers play losers. Six rounds maximum.

Any interest or suggestions appreciated.

What would be nice is tournament that Online TCP/IP play rather PBEM.I love PBEM, but it just isn't that fun when playing in a tournament.

Works for me. Sign me up. Not sure on which scn's to recommend. Some of the old WF scn's like old friends or Rag Tag Circus might work.
