Full Version: JTCS Bicycle troops are no Lance Armstrong (BUG?)

Hey everyone,

1. I notice that German bicycle troops in JTCS have apparently lost the ability to double-time.

I have right-clicked the bikes and made sure they were carrying the correct type of infantry (they were), made sure they were not already fatigued (they were not), and made sure that a non double-time-capable unit was not also selected my mistake. It is possible (I suppose) that other nations' bicycle troops might still be capable of double time in JTCS, along with German bike troops from another period in the war (the scenario I'm playing is set in the summer of '44)

At the very least, this needs to be corrected for 1.05. Trying to double time them gives the message "unit not capable of double time" or something to that effect.

EDIT: I need to stress that the inability to double-time the bicycle troops is only when they are astride their bikes. I'm 99% certain the original bike troops could double-time while on their bikes.

2. Another thing (non-related) the German SPA unit Pza LrS (L) (it's rather like a hummel self-propelled unit) has a considerably longer range for anti-armor than vs. soft targets, which is the REVERSE of other artillery-class units I've ever seen. I'm thinking these two target-type ranges should be reversed.

Note: The Pza LrS (L) and Pza LrS (H) are two different vehicles. The "L" model is NEW to the JTCS, while the "H" has been with us since West Front came out.
John,
I seem to remember that the bicycle units actually 'breakdown' after a certain amount of turns and the infantry have to dismount, lol! I think from memory that Jason said this was a known bug that would be remedied in the next patch?

Peter
