I have done most of the ground work for a new tournament.

It will have 6 rather small scenarios and some rather unique rules to promote rapid play (as tournaments go).

I will provide you with the tournament rules and you can decide if you wish to join us.

I will be looking for 5 men commited to fairly quick play and some alternates in case we lose a contestant during the tournament.

Alternates will assume the score of the person they are replacing and every effort will be made to replace the person leaving the tournament with someone of similar ability.

The tournament is scheduled to begin by the end of this coming month, but may start earlier if the positions are filled.

I've had a lot of help with this tournament from Blitz members with the badges, rules, scenarios, etc.

I will be publishing their names and my sincere appreciation on the official tournament site.

The title counts me out........bloody ageism!!

:laughing: These are suppose to be the golden years Rod, but I've noticed the only thing golden about them is my urine.

Seems to me that the young people on this site are in their 40's.

Anyway, I have four spots open for the tournament and would like a couple of alternates.

I have 13 people signed up for a 12 person tournament.

I do need a couple more people as alternates because I've never played in one where someone didn't have to drop out because of real-life situations.

An alternate will take on the position and points of the player they replace.
