...when did the Japs ever "Banzai" US troops...outside of "Raider's Ridge"...when it was a suicide attack, when all was lost...that sounds good..."When did the Japs ever 'Banzai' attack anybody...when it was not a suicide attack?....can any one enlighten me...there is NO secret Jap weapon there...that is why I do not include officers...to make a bogus promulgation of horse crap...in the game...somebody tell me where I am wrong here...I am so tired of answering..."where are the Banzaiing Bastards?",,,really am tired of it...

The Japanese Army never Banzaid anybody unless they were trying to commit suicide. ...Never was it made to take a f)))king thing. Prove me wrong...

I'm ready for any discussion...

Cheers

Hell Curt, I agree with you. Eek
Banzai is one reason I steer away from playing Rising Sun. I think it is artificial and based on someone's fantasy reading. :chin:

RR
I always found it kind of bizarre myself and don't use it when playing. But officers have other uses too. Maybe they'd like them for morale, etc...?

LR
It is historically proven the only Japanese officers who ordered banzai attacks were those who knew extreme assault would be invented 65 years later...

Agree.

When I do play Rising Sun, I always utilize my own rules of engagement (ROEs) that the Japanese player may ONLY use banzai once per game (if at all). :smoke:

I agree that the Japanese NEVER employed banzai as some kind of "super tactic" and the way banzai is modeled in the game is fantasy.
