Congrats to Ratzki on the approval of his first CM H2H scenario, hope there are many more to come! ;)
The time is July, 1941, and the city of Kiev is within arm's reach of Army Group South. The 14th Pz Division is leading the advance and rapidly makes it's way towards the city, the 9th and the 13th Pz Divisions widen the gap that the 14th is making. As the Russian Army falls back, there are huge pockets of men and equipment trapped, whole divisions are wiped off the map, and chaos seems to be the rule of the day.
You are in charge of elements of the German 299th Infantry Division and 13th Pz Division or elements of the Russian 19th Mechanized Corps. as the Germans try to widen this gap and provide flank protection to the 14 Pz Division. The battle takes place some 200km west of Kiev, east of Novohrad-Volyns'kyy. The 19th Mech.Corp. has been badly mauled and spread out thin along a defensive line. The Russians are trying to regroup on the East bank of the river T'nya, but the 19th Mechanized Corps fiinds itself on both sides of the river, with the only point to cross being a light bridge and a shallow sand bar nearby. The Germans have the same idea in mind, get to the bridge and hold it. This will effectively destroy part of the Russian Mech. Corps. and provide a good point to allow the armour of the 13th Pz Division to continue on it's drive to Kiev.
