I have a question in regards to infantry and/or any other unit that has the ability to load onto a transport and if that effects their chances to rally from a disrupted state?

An example is an infantry unit that is disrupted is loaded onto a halftrack (HT). That loaded HT then moves into the same hex as a Leader from the same Division as the disrupted infantry... not necessarily the same Division of the HT.

Are the chances (odds) to rally that infantry any better, the same or worse when it's loaded than unloaded? Is there any benefit... in regards to rallying... if that unit is in covered terrain or open ground?

Thx

Being loaded or not has no bearing on the odds to rally.

Terrain does though! Each terrain type does effect morale, by how much you can see in your manual starting in Section 5.24 (I think).

For example, Clear terrain (open ground) has a -1 effect on morale, a suburb hex has a +2 effect and an industrial hex has a +4 effect. (This explains why it is more difficult to assault an industrial hex successfully using the Extreme Assault rules). Therefore, putting your disrupted infantry into a hex that improves morale will help rally the unit quicker.

A leader also effects morale and will improve the odds to rally; the leader must command that unit or be a commander from up the chain of command.

Thanks Jason... that really helps and is good to know.
