Hi to all.

I'm Isacco from Italy. I'm a new player of HPS Modern Campaign "Danube Front '85" (version 1.01).

I like to play the 850610_09a "Tale of Two Cities" scenario to start. The size is small with 8 turns. I think this is the best choice for a beginner like me.

I like to play with the two side (the first game with WP and the second with NATO) to understand the game better and with this set of Optional Rules ON: Artillery Set Up, Recon Spotting, Virtual Supply Trucks, Night Fatigue, Explicit Supply, Programmed Weather, Blocking Helicopter Elimination, Counterbattery Fire, Limited Air Recon.

Thanks, Isacco
If still looking for an opponent, send me a file to my email, we can play mirror.
Ok. I found my opponent. Thanks.
I should just point out that if you select Explicit supply and VS Trucks as a Opt rule, VST will not operate, you cannot have both supply opt rules running at the same time and if you do select both the game will ignore VST. ;)

Hi Foul,
I read your article about optional rules before to decide how to use the rules to maximize realism but after that I read your message I need some clarification ... :conf: Please can you help me?

Thanks, Isacco
Hi Isacco,

Foul is saying the game only uses one supply rule. VST and Explicit supply are both supply rules, but only one can be used in play, and the game engine will set it to use Explicit Supply rather than VST. So pick one or the other, and play with that one, whichever sounds best to you, otherwise it will be Explicit anyway. I would recommend VST for most smaller scenarios also, but not sure about this specific one.

Rick
Also as VST uses a calculation based on the length of your supply line, in a scenario with a small map it will have very little effect, so as Rick says you need to choose Explicit supply or VST?? :)
"Tale of Two Cities" doesn´t support Exp. Supply anyway (no "s" in the title).

OK thanks for that, VST only then for this scenario.
