Full Version: Looking for many battles/battler's

Hello Comrades!

For months now I've practically starved myself of adequate CS gaming. I thought having three battles going would assure me of at least a turn a day, but the average has been more like three turns every two weeks. I'm tired of going to my inbox every day only to find it empty. I NEED BATTLER'S!!! I'd like to get at least 3-5 battles started within a week. Any theater, any front, any size, any takers?
BTW- Two awesome, BIG scenarios that I've played recently that you should check out. Impending Doom (EF), and Meeting Engagement at Bogoduhkov (EF). In fact, I'd like to play Bogoduhkov as Reds, I won as Germans.

I'd like to play "Looking for Trouble" (WF scenario) as the axis side. I'd prefer to use all optional rules except variable visibility, though the assault rule is negotiable it you are dead set against the new matrix assault option.

In the interest of full disclosure I recently started this game against a player that, at least, for the time being has disappeared. Only played two turns and don't want to claim a victory for so little effort. The scenario did look like fun so I would like to complete it.

If that works for you let me know and I'll get the first turn out to you tomorrow.

I've got a couple of battles offered and will take a couple more. I just wanted to mention that I'm an 'all optional rules' guy, except for the atrocious 'new assualt option' as I suspect most 'old schoolers' are. This note I just wrote to Al pretty much sums it up:

Excellent. I'll look for it tommorrow. Yeah, I understand if you'd like to try the new assault option if you haven't already. I'm sure you can find someone willing to play it with you at the Blitz. I was just totally turned off by the unrealistic results that it brings. I mean, I understand that with the 'old' assualt rules, assaulting a hex containing all broken units usually results, 95% of the time, in overrunning that hex, and that that in itself may be a bit unrealistic, but knocking that down to about a 20-25% success rate, unless you have overwhelming force, was much more unrealistic, in the other direction, for my taste. Couldn't they have made it maybe around 50%, barring overwhelming force? And even overwhelming force is a bit tricky, but you've got to experience it for yourself to see what I mean. Anyways, I look forward to seeing you in the sands of North Afrika....

Hey I could use another scenario, Tankertony. But, could we maybe do a 5-7 size one? Any that size would be good by me. I can do about 4 turns a week. Sometimes more. If it sounds good just send a turn.
