Fellas --
One of my favorite board games while growing up was Avalon Hill's old Arab-Israeli Wars. I had the opportunity to go through the Suez Canal recently and I noticed that the Egyptians maintain military pontoon bridges pre-positioned for rapid use along most of the canal. I would say about every two miles or so I saw one of these sites, with each piece mounted on a ramp so they could be put in the water and then assembled quickly.
No deep thoughts or anything, I just found it interesting.
