is there a way to make the speed of the AI even faster?

this way the big campaigns -witch start with not much fixed units (like Rzehv, Minsk)- will take a less time for the AI to complete the turn. i usually don't look for the AI how it moves the units, i wait for the result at the starting of my turn.
Only F8
Let the AI do its turn in 2D mode. 3D mode is way slower. I usually play my game in 3d mode, change to 2d mode, then hit end turn.
i play always in 2D, remove the divisional colors, remove the units too hehehe and let it start.
i wish i can even boost the AI to x20 times faster.
i will try to reduce the resolution to see if this give it some extra horsepower!
If you have 2D on, all sounds off, on map results, and the speed at max, then there really isn't anything you can do to speed up the AI side except buy a faster computer! Units off is an interesting way to play though :).

When i watch a replay as you describe it moves so fast you cant follow it, i have to use F6 to slow it down to see the action.
I wish there was a pause key for replays, some big games take 10 or 15 minutes to watch the replay, thats if you want to make any sense if it. If I have to pay attention to something else like a daughter or a wife during that time I have to stop it and resume it from scratch again. Painful.
Watching a replay is a sacred moment - you get to watch how the brain of someone you never met in person reacts to what you did. I always take my time. One trick is to leave the sound on - this way the units move quickly, but if there is firing or an assault the action slows down as the sound plays.

Another thing which is a really advanced tactic PzC for truly insane gronards (:whis:) is to listen to all of the action. Different units and artillery pieces make different sounds...:chin:

Marquo cheers
Yeah, I am always curious to see what the very first area will replay first, because it usually shows an unusual interest, or that my enemy thinks the area is important. As well...the cursor flickers for every unit being moved out of line of sight, so it also gives me an idea how many reinforcements are moving into the area.
that's in pbem, and replay... i agree.
but i only wish in playing versus the computer that it just move faster so i don't have to wait minutes to start my next turnCry
