I was wondering which scenario (stock and others) might be the largest in terms of the number of units available?

Pat
I think it's a market garden scenario available at wargamer.com.

I believe its like 1200 turns and covers the whole Market Garden operation.
Yes it is the Market Garden scenario, but it is only a mere 475 turns! :eek1:

Thanx!

Anyone wanna try to play it online? It should only take about a month! Hahaha.
The one I'm thinking of is called "Hell's Highway," and it has so many units combined with such a large map, that my computer can barely run it. It depicts the entire Market-Garden operation.

"The Battle of El Alamein" is another monster scenario.

Yes that is the one! It is 475 turns. I played it verses the computer for about 200 turns.

It would take about 90 minutes for my artillery to drop without fast human player on! :eek1:

Thanx!

While the Market Garden scenario is large I think the winner must H.J. Baltjes's Overlord scenario. It is 1250 turns long and the map stretches from Valognes in the north to Grimbosq in the south(which is farther south than Coutances) and from Le Haye du Puits in the west to Varaville in the east. The map is 399 by 224 hexes. I have never played the whole scenario so I don't know how long 1250 turns represents in real time there have to be at least 15-20 full strength divisions represented.
That's right! I must have gotten confused with the overlord Scenario!

Anyway the Market Garden and Overlord are both gigantic.
They must have taken some time to put together
i like the monsters but have never played anything like that. WOW!!Eek
