Hi All

I was wondering if HPS had given up a bit on WW2 PZC as there have been no gmes for a while

Inj the meantime my EA42 Reworked campaign ( based on th Alt version ) is playing really well , we have a draw with only about 20 turns to go out of I think 160. If anyone wants a copy let me know - its under the scn section as well

I may change just a couple of things but it realy plays much better

Also I am about to finish a Minsk campaign ( both sides unfixed) - tremendous game for both sides but the victory conditions need serious amendment to re balance. The 5GT is about 15k from Minsk with about 20 turns to go but the vistory has long since ( around turn 80 ) been decisive Ruskie

Michael
My experience with the Bagration campaign is limited, I've only started one campaign as the Soviet side, but also played a number of scenarios as the Russian. I agree with you, in most scenarios I've found it's too easy for the Russian to win.

Michael,
With your scenario located in the Mod sub-forum i can upload any modified files you may have and you can post the updates you have made to the thread your files are attached to.

This is just how this forum is supposed to work. :)

Yes no proper play testing - all the VP locations are too far forward with out considertion of the casualty points . Soviets should need to clear the map 100% for a decisive

Yup, i am talking about the MOD sub-forum where all the players Mod scenarios files are located (including this CG) and not the H2H sub-forum where the smaller H2H scenarios are located.

So again if you have updated files i can replace your old version with these so any players who DL your Mod will get the most up to date version. :)

Hope that makes more sense. ;)

I have found many good scenarios in the M44 stock game that are tense and balanced. the time pressure is on the Russians in many of the non CG scenarios to achieve the VP totals needed for a win.

While I have not played the CG, I can see where the criticism lies. The Russians can steadily push back the Axis forces to capture the objectives. Russian losses only matter in terms of fatigue and disruption. There are plenty of Russian reserves to keep fresh formations pushing the Axis back, whereas the Axis have a hard time disengaging units to reform in the rear before they are well below 50% strength.

I have Minsk, but have yet to play, it sounds interesting.

I have been busy building scenarios myself.
