LOL...I remember when I first got my new sub-woofer. I placed it on the hardwood floor under my large oak desk. After I drove a SP tank across the screen, my wife said it sounded like a tank was actually driving through our house.

I took that as a compliment...but errr, I don't think my wife meant it as one.

I also have a decent headset to keep the peace. :)

Thanks Epoletov,

Glad you like the sounds. I intend to continue improving them.

I've already found some excellent machine gun sounds for the next release. A really good MP38/40, some good Russian MG sounds, some quality Bren sounds, and an excellent sound for the A10 Warthog's 30mm Gatling.
Can be make two versions Cross Sound MOD ?
One version for WinSPWW2, the second version for WinSPMBT. :stir:

Zeiss suggested this a short while ago, and the idea has been slowly growing on me. :chin:

Cross Sounds already uses modern helicopter and jet aircraft sounds; and the next release will include a better 30mm Gatling auto-cannon.

Perhaps the tracked vehicles, in an MBT version, could sound a little faster and more modern.

As for weapons, most people probably can't tell the difference between a WW2 or modern, cannon or Machine Gun; and because the game engine assigns multiple weapons to a single sound, it's not unreasonable for WW2 and MBT to share most sounds.

However, an MBT version could change all the rifle sounds to more modern sounding semi-autos.

Perhaps after the next release (Cross Sounds 1.0) I will work on a seperate MBT mod.
