If an artillery strike lands on a tank what is the modifier for the attack if you are using armor facing effects for the scenario? Does it attack the tanks frontal, side, or rear armor protection?

I believe it defaults to the overall armor factor of the unit for top attacks regardless of whether armor facing is selected or not. For a lot of tanks, this is about equal to the side armor anyway.
