I've been inspired by Greybeard's Big Bash and Czerpak's Auction. Big Grin

So here is the Oil and Water Battle:

Update:
Special Rule for USA: USA gets to buy 15% Arty as per Weasels's Experimental Rules.

I should be able to do 1 -2 turns per week for this battle.

Due to the taxpayer burden of the recent US $700 billion bailout, the player with the LOWEST bid (points for USA) that is above a hidden value (to keep it to serious bids) gets to crush the Canucks. :smoke:

Hi Deadeye.

It sound interesting.
I'll get the bidding started at an even 35000

Cheers

What part of Suffield is that suppose to be of? If the southern part around the base then it is not accurate (but a nice map still). I haven't been to the northern part of the base but I do believe it is wooded. I have included some pics I took when I was posted there.

CFB Suffield base:

Suffield looking south to Trans Canada Highway (about 3 miles)

Suffield looking west towards Medicine Hat (50km)

Is that a parade ground or a rodeo arena? Looks like norte Oklahoma, to me. ;)

LOL :) I have no idea - I've never been there, although I lived in Calgary for a couple of years - beautiful country out there.

In WinSPMBT, I started a battle between Canada & USA in Sept 2010, and after generating a number of locations in Germany (??) it spat this one out and named it Suffield Ranges, Alberta. So I saved it for the Oil & Water battle.

But will it make a tactical difference doing your invasion? If it's a parade ground, will you take time out to give the locals a parade? Big Grin

No, but if it's a rodeo arena, I am so there! Cowgirls in starched Wranglers, mmmmm.

Thanks for the bid Walrus!

Any other takers out there? We Canucks are so polite, we'd probably just wave the American invading force on through to its objectives.

Which in Seabolt's case would be all the local rodeo arenas. :)

cheers

What's up with these umpteen million point battles? They take several hours to play one turn well and who wants to play his battles less than well? I'm waiting for someone to challenge to a battle that I can actually participate in.

Have you seen the cost of quality equipment in 2010? Eek

Seriously though, I wanted to try an armour-heavy battle with the experimental rules - and armour is expensive. :dunno:

I appreciate the overhead in playing a battle like this - that's why I'm only committing to 1 - 2 turns per week.
