Lt. Col. Cross, Commanding Officer of 2nd Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Regiment, has been ordered to Italy, September 1943, to have a bash at the German Army in a brief campaign. Intelligence reports that the Ox and Bucks may be supported by elements of the Royal Tank Regiment.

If there’s an experienced German commander out there who’d like to put together a Battle Group, the challenge is to survive a campaign of five battles and come out victorious.

WinSPWW2 ver 3.0 (MUST HAVE CD for PBEM campaign)
Core force points: 2500
Turn rate: At least 7 to 10 turns per week
Turns: 16-18 per battle (short battles help preserve core forces)
No obligation to play all five battles, only to finish each battle that’s started.

My second choice would be a 5 game campaign in Normandy or Caen in July 1944.

If you think you may be interested, send me an email and we will negotiate preferences.
John (txic) sent me an email, so we are negotiating the terms and conditions of his surrender...errr...of the battle. :whis:
Considering the good kicking Cross gave me the first time we played, I'm sure it'll be a short campaign.

Just call me Albert and I'll try to smile!

Ha! Classic Big Grin
Go on! Get in there and give him a surprise. :stir:
He'll be so busy drinking cups of tea that you'll catch him unawares!

Good avatar BTW...Eddie for prez!

Good luck to both of you.
I have yet to try the PBEM campaign, but it looks excellent.

Cheers
The map we're using for this first battle is really very good. Don't know who made it, but they did an excellent job.

It's map 205.

Here's a screen print of part of it, with objectives in red.

hmmm...the image host site may not be showing this as large as it should be. Anyway, check out map 205, recommend it.

We are only using the map south of the river, as the map is a bit too large for a single battalion.
Yep, a great map. I played a PBEM on it. As the brits against gemans too.
I didn't field a single tank but had plenty of armored cars. I just love popping one Panther after another with 2-pounder sideshots!
The elevations can be deceptive though if I remember correctly. Be careful when playing with high visibility.
