Has anybody seen or heard about this Spring: 1944 game? Looks interesting...

Looks like a modern CM game. You should go over to CM and see what they say, they are probably licking their chops over it.

Looks pretty though, but I have tried CM several times and just can't get into it.

I thought it looked like a pretty version of CM also. Now if it plays a little better, they may be on to something. The website doesn't say when a release might be or what form it will take. The screen shots got my attention though.
Looks like an up gunned version of Sudden Strike which was an RTS and not a real wargame. Fingers crossed this is a wargame as the only RTS that is going to be worth playing is DoW2.

Tyranids FTW. :whis:

cheers
I like Rome Total War, not really a pure RTS, but the tac battles are in real time but pausable. In fact I only played RTW (+realism mod) and SP H2H the last months....

RTW is also my favorite computer war/sim game. I was a big fan of the CIV2 game, but RTW really did a good job of combining the Strategic with the Tactical, if your into ancient warfare. If you're into blowing up tanks...well, not so much. Now, a WWII era game that had the same set up would be outstanding.

I've never been a huge fan of pure RTS games as most have resource building and all that other garbage to do, which I find too distracting when trying to do battle. That's why I liked RTW, because it slows all that down - and then goes to almost a separate game for battles.

Cheers,
I have RTW and have yet to play it. I have MTW with VI and liked those but I have heard the RTW is far better. Don't know why I haven't played it yet, except being busy with SP I guess.
I'm playing MTW II at the spare time and it's very good, even better than RTW if you don't mind the era. Loved Barbarian invasion, the start with Western was really tough.
