Has anyone run into a problem with opfire being stuck on "never" for all hard units? I'm currently playing "Tank Graveyard at Minsk".
It worked for two turns, then I played around with the settings, setting some of my units and my HQs to never shoot at hard targets. Now I can't turn on any hard unit to shoot at a hard target. I don't want to tell my opponent because I'm doing ok but I don't know if I should restart the game.
I'm hoping its just a one time glitch.

What I think you did is set your "global settings" to never rather than setting individual units. Global settings are activated by pressing the "D" key when no unit is selected and they will take priority over individual settings unles the individual setting is more restrictive.

What you need to do is access the global settings again, change the desired category to long, or any other you choose, than select units individually to enter a more restrictive setting.

Typically when I start a scenario I will set all globals to long then individually tweak every unit on the map... but then I am a bit of a control freak.

The most important thing to remember is global settings always take priority over individual unit settings unless the individual settings are more restrictive.

Hope that solves your mystery. Big Grin
Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. I knew that. Talk about a major brain fart! I would have played that way for the whole game.

I go hide now....
