all player preferences at default
no artillery and ammo limits

SPWW2:
same as in SPMBT
05 1940
France vs. Germany
You can send me your turn zero file if you are interested to play with me. :whis:
Hi
I am sorry I have no time free to offer you a match.
I hope somebody will take your challenge.

I must say...you are asking to play on a tiny map.
I don't think I have ever PBEM on a 40x80 map in over 150 battles.
Especially with unlimited arty and ammo.
I think you will find few takers for that type of battle.

Could I suggest that you read some of the posts here...
https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards...?tid=41293
especially the FOO rule...
and also here...
https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards...?tid=43807

This will show you some of the rules that people like to use.
No suggesting that you should use them...just to give you an idea what other are using.

I think if you make you map a bit bigger and restrict your arty and ammo...you'll get a taker in no time Big Grin

Good luck and welcome to the Blitz SP ladder
Walrus
Hi Panzafahra and welcome to the Blitz.

I agree with Walrus. The map is too small leaving no room for manuever. With unlimited arty there'd be no chance for survival without the movement option and at 3000 to 6000 pts it would be like fighting in a phone booth.

By the way, I wonder how much arty can you fit in a phone booth?

Hello to everybody!

I am also looking for an experienced player to help me to ''escape'' from the bootcamp and show me the nuts and bolts of PBEM-mechanics.

My preferences:
-SPWW2 ( or SPMBT early years, because I am not familiar with " modern stuff" yet)
-all slots free
-something rather small in terms of map size and points ( to keep it simple for now)
- no preferences for the nations or year (although the western front in 1944 would be nice Big Grin )
- the rest can be discussed afterwards per e-mail or PM.

Anyone out there? Big Grin

Cheers
Michael

P.S.: I am not a native speaker of english, so sorry for possible misspelling or other nasty stuff. Big Grin
Thank You for all the good ideas!
I agree and modify my challenge:
-60X140 map size
-FOO rules accepted with 3 FOO
-15 percent of battle points for artillery
-3 Ordonance Units; I think in modern battles they are required to supply the ATGM units.
-I think the players preference should be left default.

To animal mother,
I'm not used in playing PBEM[/color] but I play hot seat games since 2001 - I started with SP2.
how about a 1000 point battle on a 40x90 map in Summer 1944, ME, US vs Germany, 2 FOO for each side, 100 points for artillery and 25 turns ??? Please send me your turn zero files or modify my challenge and I send you my files.
Hi
Just a word about the FOO rule idea.

The way to use it is this.
When you buy your force, you do not tell the opponent how many FOO you have until AFTER you have both bought your force.
It is not necessary to set a FOO amount before the buy.
You may buy 3, your opponent may buy only 1.

The inportant thing is to understand how they affect your play.
1 FOO = 1 arty plot / area of impact.

So...if you want to shoot at three different areas on the map...you need 3 FOO to do it :-)

If an FOO dies in the battle...you lose his shoot.
If all FOO die...you can use the A0...but NOT before.

So...when you start the first proper turn of the battle...you tell each other how many FOO you have.
This way you can tell if the opponent is observing the rules through the game.

It can get very complicated if you wish...but you can also play the rule very simple.
It is just a guide line, as are all the rule idea here.
You need to talk with your opponent to decide which rules to use, if any, and both be happy before you begin.

Oh...one more thing.
I would very rarely play on a map 60x140.
It is a strange size.
I like some depth in the map as well as width. I find 100x100 usually works well for most battles.
It's a personal thing.

Cheers
Good luck
Hurrah!

It can get very complicated even if you don't wish.

I'm just saying, beer and the FOO rule, not a good mix. Like champagne and liqueur.*

Ha! Fair enough. I like it best when you just need to count the impact points. You know he has 3 FOO, you see three impact points when his arty lands. Correct. Simple. You see 4 IP and then you say..."Oi!". Ove you get used to that routine, it become normal. It just stops it becoming 1 tube per target, all done with 1 FOO. That's just too easy eh Big Grin

I have never had the proper stuff.
It needs to react to iced water by going cloudy.
Good shot of it here...

Otherwise it is 'cold-pressed" and is not the same.
I have some Green fairy brand like that. It gets you very cleanly drunk, but really there is no woomwood effect etc. Just alcohol.
Eventually I'll find some.

It was typically vilified, for no good reason, using crude propaganda.
Like all fun drugs.
