Hi All,
I'm playing my first WinSPWW2 (v3.0) PBEM game as the Germans and I'm currently trying to setup my force.
However all these German names on the formations are giving me a headache, since I am not familiar at all with the German formation names. I'm having to click into each formation to see what's in it and 2 minutes later I can't remember what it was. :(
For example - is there a way I can get it to display "Heavy Tank Company" instead of "swPanzer Kp (e)"?
Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry mate, but you are going to learn some German, and some Italian, and some Spanish...and plenty more.
You'll get it.
It's just abbreviations that you'll get to know...Kp for Company, zug (I think) for platoon. Sw=heavy...it's all part of the fun and the learning experience :-)
Wait till you play a Spanish Civil war battle...that'll make your brain rattle.
There's no way of changing the names.

After couple of battles you don't need the list anymore, the most common terms get familiar quite fast.
For those of us with poor language/memory skills, I've taken the liberty of converting Seabolt's list into a spreadsheet. That way it can be sorted by English, by German or by WW2 abbreviation for easy lookup.
I've included 2 formats: ".ods" the native OpenOffice format and ".xls" the MS Excel 97/2000/XP format. Let me know if you find any technical (i.e. non-translation) errors.
