Hi Chaps.
Epoletov raised a good point in the General Forum.
Why don't we have countries when reporting MBT...and have only Force 1 and Force 2?

Well...as far as I can make out, we can fix that.
We need a definitive list of countries to start the ball rolling.
As there is no 'axis' or 'allied" we just need one FULL list of all countries used in MBT.

Can anyone help with that.
It must include every variation (think about the way the Balkans have changed over time).

Epoletov had some other suggestions also, like being able to add in battle points...but I am afraid that will not be possible.

So...if someone would post up a list, we can debate and make sure all are happy with the countries present.
If we get that far. Chris and I will double check and then all things going according to plan, we'll enter them in the data base.

Obviously, all previous entries of "Force 1 and 2" will have to remain as that.

I will make a start, off the top of my head, in the next post. Add more posts below and I will add them to the master list as we go. Over to you gentlemen.

Why didn't Epoletov do it as it was his idea/suggestion? That is what I expect of our members if at all possible.

are you sure it wouldnt require rewritting the code for reporting games ?
E.g. currently there is no way to choose a force for player 2. In fact there are no options to choose a force for any player. Advance, assault and ME are treated as any other scenario, thus have "nations" hardcoded from the moment they were added to database. I might be missing something here, but those nations you guys mentioned (at least most of them) above ARE present in database for MBT. I am certain of that, cause I used them when entered stock scenarios to database. So its not the question of missing nations , its the question of "report game" formula. And this means codding, not just adding info to database.
Sorry if you know all of that, I am not playing an expert here, just trying to be helpful.

It seems I misinterpreted this question when it was in the Suggestion Box Forum. Maciej is correct that for purchased battles Force 1 and Force 2 are hard coded into the report forms. The nations listings are for stock scenarios, and that is what I thought was being discussed, nations missing from that menu. My sincere apologies for sending anyone down a blind alley.

Now, the change that is being asked for I can ask our Webmaster what can be done, but given his time limitations I don't want to give the impression that this would happen quickly or at all, but we can discuss it.
