Hi All,

I have resigned all my games and withdraw from the TSFSLONAIC (sp?) tournament.

I'm very unhappy with some (a lot actually - remember the navy discussion) of the changes to the game - especially as I upgraded mid-way through most of my pbem's, which kinda negates any tactics you might have been using. How many badly implemented changes are we supposed to "just get used to" or scenarios that we should "just not play them if we don't like that feature"

I suspect the new assault rules will encourage some combatants to reload their turns if they think the result is unrealistic or just plain stupid, and I wouldn't blame them. :stir:

I am also unhappy that there now appear to be so many versions out there, I guess some people are still using TS, some on Vanilla Matrix, some on 1.02, 1,02b, 1.03 (members only) and official 1.03.. what next 1.03b next week? we seem to have patched and are now waiting for the next patch.. WTF? :hissy: Perhaps the Matrix are just trying too hard to please everyone.

I've decided to give the game a rest for a couple of months, then come back and see if things have settled down and decide if I want to get back into it then....until then....Hasta Luego!
(and yes, I am being a girl but it's all just getting on my nerves)

I believe that there will be lots of people using different downloads.

Unfortunately I use vista based HP now so no chance for old Talonsoft discs but have enough space on hard drive to have also 1.02 installed. What I mean, Paul, you will be able to find opponents without any problems :cool:

You do what you want to, but maybe you should reconsider your decision and have some battles instead? :boom2:

Slawek, I'm not giving up on it, just breaking away for a while until issues are resolved, patch levels are stable and the community returns to normal (if I can call anyone here normal!! :) )

fwiw, I hope the assault rules get fixed, the old rules were stupid, but the new ones are also not correct and replacing bad rules with different bad rules isn't helpful, I wish I could help define what I think they should be, but unfortunately I don't have the time ( I really don't), so I'll sit back, and presume that reason will prevail while I am away...
