...while sitting at the bedside...
...heard this "folk" song, I think, maybe the 3rd or 4th time since the late nineties...but heard it again, last week. I determined to listen who and what was it. Indeed...the song is "Cold Missouri Waters".
For all of us (and all of us "old sailors" too, indeed), I found myself (...incredibly...yipes...) compelled to seek the source of this tale.
If you guys google "Mann Gulch", "Meriwhether Canyon"...or "Mann Gulch Fire"...I think you will find an incredible story...and the song.
...I do not think I have been so captivated...but it sounded a lot like the kind of stuff you guys think about...
