20 Message Boards

Message Boards are moderated by club leadership with discussions concerning historical and game issues relating to each individual ladder. While we respect free speech, we reserve the right to edit or delete messages which we determine to be inappropriate.

Please refrain from personal attacks, ie namecalling, or cursing on the message boards. Debate can become heated, but lets keep the flaming to a minimum so that we can have reasoned and impassioned discussion.

As with our gaming ladders, the related message boards are moderated by the Ladder Commanders and their Assistants. In all issues relating to message board content their word is final. If you have further issues with the board moderation contact the club senior officers.

Hello to all the CS Ladder member and CS forum members. I just wanted to post a message that clears up some issues with the forum.
I've just been told that some think that the forum is democratically run. I've posted above the rules of the forum.
Myself, Valor, and Hawk Kreigsman try to be even handed and fair to all our members. We also allow a lot of leeway in posting, as long as the posters follow the rules of the forum. We do not enforce the rules as if they are our pet whims.
We really respect the members and want them to have an environment where they can post to expand their knowledge, grow the community, improve the Campaign Series in general, and to have fun while doing it.
If and when we moderate forum content, or take action against a member of the community, it is done with consideration for the whole community. It's not so much a "one bad apple" thing as it is making sure that all the members are treated with respect.

Lessons "learned" are best when they are clearly explained.

Herr Balck has been previously warned that he was posting content that was not acceptable to the Campaign Series forum, and has decided to ignore the warnings. He will be banned from posting to the Campaign Series forum for one week. This will give him time to think about making the right choices or not posting here at all.
On July 4th his priviledges to post will be returned, with an understanding that he will receive no more warnings thereafter.

Kinda sad actually......adult conversations appear to welcome tho :-)
"Nip it in the bud!" ---- Barney Fife
Jack, I like the thought! :)
It brought back a smile to my face. "Andy, you got to nip it in the bud. Nip it in the bud, I say! Nip it, nip it, nip it!" Big Grin

We are here for the community of gamers and posters?

A good friend told me this about our members and following the rules of the club:

What we ask for at TheBlitz is simple.
• You have been invited into our house.
• We expect you mind your manners while in the parlor.
• We expect you to respect the other guests.
• It is our house and we determine who stays and who goes.

Honestly, that is as simple and clear as it gets? :smoke: I am a mere servant of the house. I spend my free time here. And, I will enforce the rules of the house. It is the only fair thing to do?

Then candor, intelligence, and goodwill prevail.
If anyone feels differently, please feel free to private message or e-mail me?

cheers
I'm curious about something though, I don't mean to kick anyone when they're down or anything, but I noticed Hermann Balck has no registered games on the CS latter in about 5 years, yet still shows as an "active" player. Aren't folks supposed to drop off the ladder after a year? :conf:

Actually, I noticed a good handful of players on the ladder have not dropped off the ladder despite no recorded games in over a year - it's not just him.

Just curious what the reason was.

P.S. What did he do!! Gimme the dirt! Just kidding. Really. :)
