For your information, I have got it running on Linux using crossover (WINE based) from codeweavers, although installing the latest patch was tricky. It's still a bit flakey on larger scenarios - tends to hang whilst processing end/start of turns. (This can be an expensive solution though)
I have also got it running on an IMAC. I created a dual boot system, installing XP on a separate partition. THen using VMware Fusion created a VM of that instalation. The VM runs as a window on the MAC desktop.

Darn,if only I could have seen this while my computer was being fixed at DELL.I could've been playing TOAW on my friend's MAC!
