Check out this picture from a M44 campaign I have going.

My Tiger battalion 507 was moving around behind the lines and ran smack into a partisan unit that was initially blocking the main road. He tried to retreat but was quickly surrounded.

One must wonder what would be going through the partisan commander's mind seeing a battalion of Tiger tanks advancing from all sides!

Probably an 88 shell I would have thought.
I think you just drink your Molotov cocktails and then you don't care! Big Grin cheers
Actually partisans are not affected by ZOC, so they would simply fade away from the panzers. Looks like there is plenty of cover to do so in those woods.

Hey hang on, that's my guys drunk as usual !!!.
Minsk has not yet been updated with the latest patch which would allow them to move from the ZOC, so l'm afraid these brave partisans will have to continue delaying those Tigers 30 mls behind the front line. Now is that around 30 tanks, very good intel with photo !!!.
It is true, these are Lowlander's partisans.

Honestly, he has done a great job using these. They are all over behind the lines blowing bridges and causing general havoc. Whenever I catch them I try to quickly eliminate them however they still seem everywhere.
From the posts above, it sounds like HPS hit a home run with the partisan game in M44. I have not played a sceanrio where the partisans are present. An interesting side game within the game.

They can be deployed as the deception units that they also are (or at least share some characteristics with). I remember saving one of those partisans in that manner in a M'44 game. Of course, it's a "last ditch" measure...
