Hi - Alpha and Wigma.

Just a quickie to ask if you recieved the games files I sent over the weekend?

Cheers Steamroller:eek1:
Hi Bryan.

I would take you on for a SPH2H battle, lets negotiate terms.

I usually play with all preferences ON, except C&C OFF.
Opportunity fire 120 %, Searching 60 &, True troops / rarity both ON,
limit of formations depending on battle pts., incursors, paratrooper
landings, reinforcements etc. allowed. Limit for art. 10 - 15 %.

What you think about it ?

By the way a new SPH2H version will be published !

PanzerLeo, who´s living very close to my homeplace, told me he
reconstructs a never published H2H version for the engine of
SPWAW 8.2. Maybe he gets it finished this year !?!

Cheers, Klaus
Hi Bryan
I sent you a mail.
It got bounced.

Thanks for the offer...I'll take you up when I get some free time.
You look like you have a few going now to tide you over eh Big Grin

BTW...why do you guys all play with CC off?
I have no idea what it really means in WAW terms.
I never play with CC off in the SPCAMO games, it makes it into an arcade game...well, not exactly, but it sure dumbs it down a bunch.
Just wondering.
Cheers

Hi Jason.

Imagine you have a platoon of 4 Tiger I. If for example the tank of the platoon commander gets immobilized by enemy art. fire, all tanks of your platoon can´t move forward anymore !!
This problem can be managed by some very sophisticated tactics,
but all of them don´t work unless the enemy art. fire stops.

C&C in H2H makes a decisive difference to SPWW2 !!

Cheers, Klaus
Hi walrus

Sorry that your email got bounced - NZ is trying very hard to have the worst internet service in the world. The boffins say its caused by tectonic movement or a volcano going off here and there.

I look forward to catching up in the future.

Hi Jolly Rodger / Klaus

I tried a pbem game recently with CC on and the other guy gave up half way through the game.
The CC on is interesting but people think it slows the action down. Thanks for the info about CC on and I do understand it a little but would get my ass kicked against a good player.
I have finished a game last week and have space for 1 or 2 games for the future. Im keen on trying out a pbem scenario but if thats no good we could do a battle. I also like a 10% arty limit with no off board arty and no air units or partisan types or paradrops. My ideas are
French v US 1942 // Always love Soviets v Germans ealy to mid war and some late //
Big Grin:whis:

Hi Bryan.

I usually play the underdog nations, but Vichy France in 11/42 is very difficult to win. LOL. No Partisans, No paradrops is OK.
Art. Limit 10 % is OK too. No air and Offboard art. if you like.

Send an email to [email protected]
and we negotiate details.

Cheers, Klaus

You need to plan your moves couple of turns ahead and quick changes in plans usually gets you in trouble like units missing in the field. CC on forces you to think while playing. I'd play every game with CC on but there is not that many players who like to use it. And like Klaus said, it has practically nothing to do with SPWW2 CC which has minimal effect in game play.
Thanks for the info chaps.
I have never looked at WAW etc, so only have comments like these to gauge the differences.

CC still has an effect in SPCAMO games...and you need to be aware of your command structures...but it doesn't interfere with game play like you guys are explaining.
Interesting.
Cheers
The difference is huge ... something like ten times which means that SPCAMO CC has practically no effect in my game play, it is so insignificant to what I'm used to.
