I spent over an hour downloading 1.03.

I chose "open".

How do I check to see if 1.03 has been installed and if not, where is it at?

You've downloaded a zip file. You will have to extract the zip file and double click on the EXE file that reveals itself. You will be promted to type in your password to complete the installation, so keep it handy.

If you haven't done this, you haven't installed 1.03 yet.
