I have a MBT game that Greybeard was kind enough to set up and I need an opponent here are the particulars....
Chile and Peru are having a turf war.. the respective governments have decided to decide things once and for all.. so they have scoured the country and have pulled in the best that they have..
The Chilean Republician Guards Armored Division
The Peruvian Special Mountain Division
(had to think up a name at least) ;-)
Unfortunately for the troops involved, both govenments have picked the same border area to jump off the attacks from..
so perhaps a case of 'immovable object' vs 'irresistable force' are coming to face each other..
Now - a couple of comments from me..
These guys have already got fairly low experience and moral levels.. I have a suspicion that Weasel's mods are going to create a situaiton where the ground troops are going to run like scared rabbits when they encounter armor.. don't exepct them to be able to close assault much.. and once they start running don't expect them to stop any time soon.. both sides do have some elite jungle/mountain troops, but they are not equipped to face down armor..
You will both need to look at the company structure and assign some platoons to company CO's.. on both sides I bought std companies.. but I deleted the inf SAM section and replaced it with a INF ATGM section... on the Chilean side of things, the armored formations also need to be looked at and the odd platoon assigned to a CO..
For a brief overview: Peru seems to have a good portion of Soviet bloc equipment.. and Chile has French along with some older USA/Israeli euipment.. but the forces look very balanced..
Beware the Peruvians have laser range finders on many of their tanks, so they will hit things from a pretty long ways away better than the Chilean armor will.. but, the Peruvian Soviet based armor suffers from a really small ammo supply..
