I haven't tried yet, but I'm almost sure that yes you can.
You can try anyway without risk if you give a free number to the map you copy.

Yes, the maps are able to be used in both versions.
As long as the are both versions from the same era though.
I think there may be problems if you try to use an old DOS ww2 map in the latest winSPMBT for example.
There have been quite a few changes over the years, extra levels of hills, more and different terrain tiles, larger sizes for the maps etc.
So...have at it :-)
