The following is a list of the cover provided by terrain in CMBB and CMAK, from best to worst. I've referred to this list so many times that eventually I printed it out and keep it taped to the side of my monitor.

On "Hide" or pinned behind Wall - 0% exposed
Trench, even in the open - 9%
Heavy Building - 10%
Foxhole in Wood or Pines - 14%
Wood or Pines - 15%
Light Building - 20%
Foxhole in Sc. Trees - 23%
Rubble, any type - 25%
Sc. Trees, Rough, Wall not on "Hide" - 30%
Foxhole in Open, Brush, Wheat, etc - 44%
Brush, Rocky, Cemetary - 50%
Wheat, Hedge, Wood Fence - 60%
Steppe, Marsh - 65%
Pavement - 70%
Open, Soft Ground, Wire in Sc. Trees - 75%
Dirt Road - 90%
Wire in Open, Bridge, Ford, Paved Road - 100%

are you sure about the pavement? It's hard to believe that that would provide better cover than open ground...
My guess is those are some high curbs to hide behind :)
This is the list I have. dont know if it is correct or not. also note that units engaged at exposure levels above 44% will try to crawl to better cover.

interesting - and your "N/A" stands for "not available"? or "not applicable"?

Yep, I ran a quick test to doublecheck:

maybe you get"better" cover from curbstones or some vehicles standing there.....
I wonder if cmbb is the same

edit - I did a CMBB test and this is the result (no pictures)

pavement - 100%
railroad - 100%
dirt road - 90%

for me it means "you cant put wire/foxholes in buildings and some terrain"

I dont know if that is "not available" or "not applicable" - LOL!

cheers
OK Col. T - I get you - then it's "not applicable" - it doesn't apply in that situation.

And Peek - it was "open ground" I was wondering about - since it contains grass and is not totally level. The list taped to my monitor (lol) says "open ground" is 75% exposure, dirt roads are 90%, and paved roads are 100%. I thought pavement and paved roads would be the same - maybe not?
