Hello Huib & Merry Christmas

If I download your remake of Task Force Lovelady (**Task Force Lovelady) will I still be able to play the original?

Thank you.

Jack
For the original version you need the original map file (mausbach.map). My scenario will overwrite only that file. So it is wise to copy the original map file somewhere first.
Hello Huib,

I have two questions.....

Is the scenario ACROSS THE SEINE that you & Don created a stock scenario with the Matrix release or is is available for download?

With all due respect, should the **Task Force Lovelady have a new name so both scenarios could be played? I want to play your version, but was hoping to avoid deleting the other scenario.

Thank you. Jack

Across the Seine is a Matrix stock scenario. The only difference between this one and the old Talonsoft version is that it uses historically correct security troops (not yet available in TS)

**Taskforce Lovelady is a new scenario and has a separate entry on the ladder. The only way to assign map and org files with different names than the stock ones would be to make the scn from scratch. I changed the scn and saved it under a different name, however since I didn't start from scratch the file names of the org and map file were already pre defined. I didn't touch the org file but altered the map file. That's why you need to back up only the old map file in case you want to keep it.

I could remake the scn alltogether from scratch but then I would also want to filter out it's historical inaccuracies. I wasn't immediately interested in doing so since despite of it's flaws, the original TF Lovelady scores high on the entertainment ladder (at least IMO)
I've been enjoying Huib's remastered map in **TF Lovelady against Mr. Guberman...

It is a nice map... I saw a MB discussion on it when I first returned from Iraq, and had to kick the tires... I'm glad I did...

I never played the original TF Lovelady, but the update with the new map is a blast... Even if most of my M4(76)'s are toast already... I keep leaving them exposed to get my shots in and Curt (being the nice guy that he is) kindly removes them from my OB each time...

However, those Jumbos really take fire well... and the Americans have lots of firepower to push forward... while the German dog me at every step...

Regards,
