Gentleman,

at this time of year we all think of Christmas, I hope this picture reminds us all of the ultimate sacrifice that was made to keep us all free from tyranny.

This picture was taken by me during a visit to Oosterbeek in 2003

Thanks for posting this Anthony. May I ask why you chose this particular soldier's grave to photograph? Was he a relative?

Its a pitty the man's sacrifice was short-lived though. It may have saved the world from "Tyranny", but hastened the day when socialism would previal and suck the life right out from the West, particularly Europe.

Europe's furture is not "western", but that of the third-world and Islam. This was brought to us by the predictions of the Germans, as evil as they were, at the end of the war.
I chose this particular grave because :

1) I have a particular interest in the Victoria Cross

2) I KNEW his grave was in the cemetary I was visiting with my friend Erik Maarleveld

3) It was aso striking
