Hi fellas, I have a question for the Divided Ground/Vietnam enthusiasts.

I notice that on my system, I have unit info and pictures for U.S. units only (after I found the modded U.S. picture folders and "unittext" file). Problem is, there can only be one unittext file, and I see no mods that contain pics for the other nationalities.

Are there any among you that have unit pics and info (revealed by the F2 command) for other nations, especially NVA and ARVN? On my computer at least, pics and unit info for these nations is missing. I had some big registry problems this past summer, and I now notice, interestingly, that all my DG-VN picture folders were GONE, lol (until I added the U.S. pics back in just now).

I figured maybe the modders got too busy and were not able to write descriptions/include pics for these extra units (and there are a ton of 'em...). It's not that big of a deal, I just thought it would be cool to have unit descriptions for these other nationalities.

If any of ya have pics and unit info for the non-United States forces, let me know something, would you? Thanks in advance. :cool2:

I don't have any either. Pics on the net are few and colour shots are rare. Probably need to find an enthusiastic, knowledgable individual to make the pics and the desc's. Mostly Soviet kit so those pics and desc's could be used.

Here is a bmp for your scenario selection screen and a choice of icons for your shortcut to DGVN. The Talonsoft bmp goes into your DGVN folder and overwrites the AIW one. Put the icons in there too or My Pictures or whereever. Right click your shortcut and click change icon. Browse to where you put them, select your choice, click apply, then OK.

Btw, I'm using the original talonsoft version of DG - wasn't even sure if matrix re-released DG or DG-VN.

Matrix did not re release DG but AIUI did get the rights to it in the deal.

No to the F2 command pics. Nice to have but lots of copywrite issues to deal with for giving the mod away for free.

DGVN was picked up by Matrix but the source code does not exist and the compiled file was encrypted so we can't just uncompile it. That having been said, I understand that Matrix is working on a RS version of VN using all my scn's and the modern equipment in DG. It was supposed to be out for Xmas. In either case my work will stay available for free, although I may not be creating additional scn's for those that just want to stay with the DG version.
