This is truly an amazing book dealing with the assault on Stalingrad. It is now Sept 12th and the 48th Pz Korps is beginning its assault on the Southern outskirts of the city. The author has presented an unbiased viewpoint of the assault. Included are daily casualties, transfers, medals awarded and promotions. The maps, espcially the aerial ones are incredible. Once more I highly recommend this one. The author is an Australian by the name of Jason D Mark.
