Just finished up Glantz's recent book Red Storm over the Balkans and I suspect there is a PC game in there.

Until Glantz published this book, I had no idea of the beating the Russians had taken at the hands of the Germans so late in the conflict.

I would rate the book at 3 out of 5 though. The first 100 pages is a bit slow, not much detail about the fighting. "The 29th Gds divsion took Slobojobo in an early morning attack" is about as descriptive as it gets at the begining of the book. The last 1/3 of the book is good though.

But that being said, it appears it would make for a good game.
Hiroo,

I am sure you are right!

But I also dream about PZC from the early part of the war. The
german attack on the Balkan. Not to forget the italian and german
attack on Greece.

Perhaps that could be good.....or not?
Perhaps. I never rule anything out with games or this series!

Sounds like a great book - their good Maps in it too?

The maps only are good at showing where the units were located. They give almost zero information visa-vis terrain. Rivers and that is about it. But the location of regiments (ger) and divisions (russ) is done quite well.

Sounds like a standard Glantz type book - might be worth picking up for sure.
