So here I was heading back to Lorraine after a horrible patrol off Port of Spain. In all my days patrolling I sank a small coastal vessel (fishing boat really) and a small cargo ship. All torpedoes on board and totally frustrated. Suddenly my watch crew picked up a ship on the horizon, a destroyer. Dammit!, lets go after this guy and get something out of this patrol. So in I sneak to within 700 yards when the destroyer spots my scope and starts an attack run. To hell with diving, I go flank speed, hard to port to bring my rear tubes to bear. Well before I can get around he lays down a string of depth charges....much to shallow and blows the stern off his ass! Well down he goes like a fat man doing a cannon ball dive into a pool! Just amazing, but I didn't get rewarded for him sinking. Luckily off the Azores I sank a 10,000 ton cargo vessel to make myself feel better.

Well done, thats what you get for attacking a civilian cruising submarine. LMAO.

You should have taken a pic for us to see. During every attack i am poised to take a photo just incase antthing interesting happens.

I am through all my games now and might fire up the old SH3 myself.

i don't normally attack a destroyer but i was intrested to test your theory.

Just a broken back.

I didn't torpedo my guy, he killed himself with depth charges. From the looks of you pictures you are playing on easy level with no mods? I'll tell you, once you are comfortable load up Grey Wolves expansion, man those destroyers here you fart from 10 miles away!

What do you reckon to this new U-Boat expansion pack for SH4?

Funny story with the realism level.

I started it outon 100 % thinking how hard can this be?? That didn't last long as i found i was like you say Chris unable to fart without being found:dunno:. So i cranked it down some to get some playing fun out of it.

Well to my shock, at 0300 I was attacked by two PBYs with search lights on off Gibralter! What the hell!!!! Boy the Grey Wolves expansion is a tough beast.

It isn't available till spring of '08, i just wondered if you would be buying it when it comes out. I would have thought that was the type of thing more likely to be done as a community mod rather than an official expansion pack.

Buy it? Nope. I thought it was a free addon, it should be with all the problems SH4 comes with. What are they up to now, patch 10,000?
