As you may or may not know, I am a rookie in this game (only 4 PBEM games or so under my belt at the moment) so forgive me for using any lamen terms in my post :P
I've started playing with the scenario editor and the first idea that came to mind was the Battle of Mogadishu. I havn't browsed the titles or descriptions of every scenario bundled with the game so it might already be there; still this is good practise for me.
I've been using some random sites for info on the battle to help with the turn delays for reinforcements (such as the Pakistan forces) while attempting to equal the US forces with the Somalian army (no small feat - Armed Mobs are dirt cheap resulting in zillions of units to place on the map). Anyways I'm still tweaking it; my question is thus: are there any websites that could give me accurate details on exact force sizes to make the scenario more accurate?
I also noticed some differences between the movie and the actual event; in the film we see the actor Tom Sizemore in a Hummy with an MG mounted on top. In MBT the only hummy that has one of those is the utility vehicle; does that mean they had a hole bunch of those in that operation or is the film fibbing a bit?
The gunships were no problem; the ones available in MBT in 1993 match the battle description perfect. Its just the type of vehicle in the ranger convoy that im unsure about.. so yeah, any sites would be very helpful, thanks.
